From First Message to Appointment Day — How Does It Work?
Start by having a look through this FAQ, most of what you're wondering about is probably already answered here. When you're ready, reach out via Instagram DM or through the contact form on this website. DM replies come within 24 hours; the contact form is a little slower, since I collect and go through those requests once a week, so expect up to a week for a response there. Either way, I'll let you know whether your idea is something I can bring to life and what dates I currently have open. Once we agree on a date, I ask for a deposit (between €50 and €300, depending on the size and complexity of the piece) to lock in your slot. Before your appointment, I put together an initial sketch based on everything we've discussed, and on the tattoo day itself in Brussels we sit down together to fine-tune the placement and sizing before we begin.
What Languages Do You Work In?
English, French and Turkish are all equally comfortable for me, and I can also hold a conversation in Dutch, so don't hesitate to reach out in whichever of these feels most natural to you.
Something Came Up and I Need to Cancel or Move My Appointment — What Now?
Life happens, just let me know as soon as possible. If you give me at least 7 days' notice before your appointment, your deposit is fully refunded. Cancellations with less notice than that unfortunately forfeit the deposit, since that slot could otherwise have gone to another client.
Can I Bring My Own Reference Images?
Absolutely, please do. Photos, mood boards, sketches, anything that helps me understand the feeling you're after are genuinely useful. The more visual context you give me, the closer the first sketch will land to what you have in mind.
Do You Do Finger Tattoos?
I don't, no. Fine line work on fingers tends to blur and lose its crispness quickly as that skin turns over so fast, and I'd rather not put my name on a piece I know won't hold up.
What Will My Tattoo Cost?
My smaller and simpler pieces start at €150, though the final price really depends on size, placement, and how much detail the design calls for. Send me a clear description (and reference images, if you have them) and I'll be able to give you a proper quote.
Is There Anything That Would Stop You From Tattooing Me?
Yes, there are a handful of health and lifestyle situations where it's safer to wait, things like certain medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin conditions, or recent cosmetic procedures. I go through the full list with you before we confirm a date, so nothing comes as a surprise, just flag anything relevant when we're chatting so we can plan around it. How Far Out Are You Booked?
Wait times shift a bit depending on the tattoo season, but on average in Brussels you're looking at somewhere between 2 weeks and 2 months out. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we'll have on dates.
Do You Do All-White Tattoos?
Generally, I'd steer you away from this. Skin isn't perfectly transparent, it has a natural yellowish undertone, and since ink sits under the skin rather than on top of it, a pure white design tends to pick up that same yellowish cast over time rather than staying crisp.
Is There a Minimum Age?
Yes, 18, no exceptions, and I don't accept parental consent in place of that. It's simply too easy to regret a permanent decision made before your tastes and identity have settled, and I'd rather not be the reason someone's stuck with that later.
Can Someone Come With Me to My Appointment?
You're welcome to bring one person along. They just can't be in the tattoo area itself while the work is happening, for space and focus reasons, but there's a waiting area where they're welcome to sit for the whole session.
Will You Cover an Existing Tattoo?
Unfortunately not, my work is built around fine, precise lines, and that approach doesn't have the density or color coverage needed to properly hide something already on the skin. If that's what you're after, look for an artist working in bolder, more saturated styles.
Do You Recommend Numbing Cream?
I don't, generally. A lot of the stronger over-the-counter numbing products lean on epinephrine, which constricts blood flow in the skin (this is well documented in anesthesia research, not just tattoo folklore). That temporarily firms up and blanches the area, and it can make it harder for the ink to sit properly, sometimes leading to patchier saturation as it heals. It's not that it changes your skin's natural tone long-term, more that it can work against a clean result on the day. If pain tolerance is a real concern for you, let's talk about it directly rather than reaching for a cream.
Can I Get a Tattoo Over a Scar?
In most cases, yes, as long as the scar has fully healed and isn't still red or raised. For anything from a serious burn, it's worth a quick chat beforehand so we can look at it together, but on top of that, you'll need to see your doctor and get their confirmation that the skin has fully healed before I can tattoo over it.
What About the Gym, Sun, Swimming, or the Sauna Right After?
None of these for a while, I'm afraid. Healing generally takes somewhere between two and four weeks, so I'd hold off on exercise for the first week or two, and keep the area out of direct sun, pools, saunas, and open water for at least a month. Jumping back into any of these too early raises the odds of the ink not settling properly or the area getting irritated. What Happens If I Don't Follow the Aftercare Instructions?
Ink can fall out unevenly during healing if aftercare is skipped or rushed, which sometimes means touching up patches afterward, and on fine line work in particular, that can leave lines looking thicker or less clean than they were on day one. Sticking to what I tell you gives you the best shot at a tattoo that heals sharp and holds up over time, it really does make a difference.
